Study tour is available for the participants of the on-line course. Followings are the information about study tours for 2018.
If it is difficult to take the designated tour, you can substitute an essay about Noto or Satoyama Satoumi. Please contact us for more information.
Tour 1
Date: 30th June – 1st July, 2018 Application closed
Beautiful seascape in Noto
- Meet at Kanazawa at 7:30 am on June 30th (Sat.) and return to Kanazawa at 19:00 pm on July 1st (Sun.).
- If you live closer to Noto region, we can discuss other locations to pick you up and drop you off.
- Price: 6,000 yen (including transportation, accommodation* & 4 meals)

Tour 2
Date: 7th – 8th July, 2018 Application closed
- Meet at Kanazawa at 7:30 am on July 7th (Sat.) and return to Kanazawa at 19:00 pm on July 8th (Sun.).

Tour 3
Date: 13rd -15th September, 2018 Application closed
During this study tour planned in September, you will visit places like Amenomiya Tumulus, a studio of Wajima-Nuri lacquerware, Nanao Bay, rice fields and local farmers restaurant and receive various lectures on culture, tradition, and biodiversity of Noto. Further more, you will learn and experience an art festival and Kiriko festival in Suzu. This tour is a joint program with ‘common education course’ of Kanazawa University. Therefore, you will enjoy the tour with other Japanese students.

Tour 4
Date: 4th – 5th December, 2018 Application closed Leaflet of the tour (Application Form)
This tour will focus on an agricultural ritual called “Aenokoto”, which was registered as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity by United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organzation (UNESCO) in 2009.
You will have a workshop, experience traditional food, and observe the ritual. Further more, you will visit Senmaida thousand rice terraces. This tour is a joint program with the Japanese On-line Course and International Student Center of Kanazawa University.
